Sharisa & Don dropped us a line

Sharisa said...
Theron was an amazing person to work with. He always knew how to do it perfectly without any kind of help from us. We trusted him to do what he does, and that is capture our love and special moments perfectly. Working with Theron is fun. He was easy to get along with and very friendly. He will always be my first and only choice for any of my video needs. The love story was beautiful and such a great memory for Don and I to keep of ourselves. The website that features the love story and wedding highlights is perfect for families overseas or those who could not attend. Not to mention a perfect for when you take a moment away from work to go onto his website and smile at the wonderful day that you had and that Theron captured. Both with the wedding and the love story he made me cry with how perfectly he captured my love for Don. Thanks Theron you are amazing!!! I think everyone should use you if they want an amazing video, with lots of extras, and a perfect memory of one of the most important days of your life!!!
Thanks you guys.

Wedding Videography

It has been a while since I have posted on the blog. It has been a crazy season and has now finally slowed down. The summer has been great and we are currently working towards adding new features to our services. We will update our readers as soon as the features are available.

Ryan and Rowena
Ryan and Rowena tied the knot on August 23, 2008 and we were there to capture their day. Lloyd of Digital Pro was the photographer for the event. We wish Rowena and Ryan all the best as they enter a new chapter in their lives.
Highlights of their special day will soon be posted on our website.

All photographs were provided by Digital Pro.

Felica and Danny

Felica and Danny
Felica & Danny were married on the weekend of August 30 & 31, 2008. Theirs was a wonderful 2-day event, beginning with the traditional Hindu ceremony followed by the reception on Sunday. It was a pleasure again working with Lloyd of Digital Pro. We wish Felica and Danny all the best. Highlights of their day will soon be posted on our website.

All photographs were provided by Digital Pro.

Please check back with us often as we have more wedding postings to add.

Recently, we were selected to be the main videographers for a new foundation called the Gail Walcott Foundation for Cervical Cancer. We will be covering all their fundraising events. We had the honour of covering their launching of the foundation on September 27, 2008. This is the start of their year-long campaign that will take the foundation all across Ontario to create awareness for Cervical Cancer and we will be there to cover all their events.
GAIL WALCOTT
FOUNDATION FOR CERVICAL CANCER

Gail Walcott-DeIrish
Written by Rolando, Gail's nephew:
It was a pre-destiny day in the heavens and earth as God created an angel ordained to carry forth his glory, joy and hope. June 13th, 1971 documented a day in history that will eternally remain in the archives. Hope, that's what she was, an emblem of love, a true carrier of radiance. Imagine being situated on the highest loft, positioned in view of the crystal fall as they flow over the most ecstatic garden, while the sun rises and sets, the ocean reflecting rainbows, mirroring the design of good Eden, while cool breeze in blowing. If you have envisioned that, then you have just seen her. Antoinette Gail Walcott DeIrish, that was her name. She was the daughter of Canute and Linette Walcott, baby sister of 7, voted most favourite Aunt of nieced & nephews and finally a beautiful wife and awesome mother of two angels.
Gail was taken by a disease uncommon and unaware to many young & older women. A horrible disease that was detected too late by doctors. Cervical Cancer is a life-taking disease that no woman should have to have. Cervical Cancer is a female disease that affects most women in the child-bearing age--age 18 to 40. It has been said that there in no cure for this disease and that nothing can be done. So through the death and pain, came the birth of this foundation - Gail Walcott Foundation for Cervical Cancer (GWFCC).

Thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

Sharisa & Donald

Sharisa and Don were married on June 21st, 2008 and we were there to capture the essence of their day. The smiles on their faces gave a glimpse of the love that they both shared for each other. It was a joy for us to work with Sharisa and Don and we wish them both happiness for now and always.
The highlights of their wedding can be seen on our website

Pisidia & Fitzroy

Pisidia and Fitzroy were married on July 26th, 2008. Their wedding was a small and intimate gathering with family and close friends. Both Pisidia and Fitzroy are from St. Vincent so their wedding had a Caribbean flavour filled with laughter reminiscing of the old days back home. Congratulations and all the best to the newlyweds. Their highlights can be viewed on our website

I will try to post more updates as soon as possible. I recently came across an article that I had to share with our readers. I have been a videographer for the last 13 years and I have worked on countless weddings. Believe me, I have seen it all. I am sure that other professionals in the industry will testify to the article. We love what we do and wouldn't change a thing. This article touches on things that we see all the time...
10 Things to Never Do at a Wedding

The day two people exchange vows may not be your special day, but it's someone's special day, so be on your best behavior -- all the way from the
I -do's to the obligatory Gloria Gaynor dance marathon...
Don't Be Fashionably Late
As the song says, get to the church on time! Allow enough time to get to there 15 minutes early or more no matter what weather, traffic, or other acts of divine intervention pop up. Print out directions to both the ceremony and the reception (if it's at a different location). Many a wedding has been hampered by guests who got lost and showed up an hour late.
Don't Produce Sound Effects
While at a wedding and reception, turn off your Blackberries and cell phones, put them on vibrate, or better yet, don't even take them!
Don't Talk Trash
It may sound obvious, but it happens all the time. No matter how big or how loud a wedding is, things get overheard. So, be on your best and most polite behavior. No gossip about any of the other guests. No complaining out loud about anything -- whether it's the food or the long line at the ladies' room. And no comparisons to other weddings! As far as the bride and groom are concerned, this is a perfect day, and so it should be!
Don't Come Bearing Gifts
Whether you're planning on gifting the happy couple a Cuisinart or cold hard cash, do them a huge favor and don't bring it on the wedding day. If you do, they have to keep track of it and haul it home at the end of the night. Send the gift ahead of time, or after the actual ceremony -- at a time when they can really relax and enjoy it.
Don't Dress Down
Whatever you choose to wear, make the effort to look your best for the bride and groom. They'll appreciate that you got dolled or duded up for the occasion. If the invitation doesn't specify dress code, put in a friendly email or call to the bride, groom, their parents, or attendants to get more info. Black Tie means you've got to dust off that long silk dress or rent a tux. If it's an outdoor affair, there may be more leeway, but get details on the location, so you can come prepared (because it's isn't fun to be traipsing around in the sand in your stilettos!).
Don't Bring Mr. or Ms. Random
If you're single, choose your date carefully. If it's someone you've only been out with once, it may not be the best idea (could be awkward for you, your date, and the newlyweds). Same if it's someone you recently "sort of" broke up with. Weddings are intimate affairs and bringing in a stranger should be done with thought. Let the bride or groom know if you decide to come alone so they can seat you with other fun "ones!" And as much as you may love your kiddos, don't take them if children aren't invited.
Don't Steal the Show
Wedding ceremonies take all forms -- from religious to poetic, musical, or humorous. Whatever the vibe, let the bride and groom set the tone and follow their lead. If you're normally a loud, life-of-the-party type, bring it down a notch and let the wedding couple stand out. If you're a weeper, bring tissues and sit where you can sob without disturbing the I Do's. If the ceremony includes religious rituals, find out what you should do (or not do) ahead of time.
Don't Pig Out
If food is serve-yourself, avoid the buffet line stampede and wait until the crowd dies down. Also, avoid going back for thirds. Take a break and save room for cake! Seconds might be okay, once you've seen that everyone has eaten. If the food is served sit-down, eat what is served without requesting substitutions or omissions, unless you have a food allergy. Otherwise, pick delicately or chow down, but don't gripe that you "don't like fish." Worse comes to worst, you can hit Burger King on the way home!
Don't Drag Out Skeletons
If the bride blushes, it should be from pride, joy, or sheer love. Not because someone just stood up and told a humiliating story about the loser she dated in high school! Ingratiate yourself to the lady and her groom by avoiding any potentially embarrassing or juvenile behavior -- no bawdy jokes, no tales about their dating habits or exploits, no overdrinking, and no overly sexy dancing. Have fun, but don't have it at anyone else's expense.
Don't Stockpile Party Favors
At the end of the night, as you're saying your thank-yous and farewells, avoid the urge to hog all the super-cool (or yummy) party favors! You don't need to take some for people who weren't able to attend. You don't need extras. Take one for yourself, unless someone in the wedding party urges you to do otherwise.

Thanks for taking the time to check out our blog.

Upcoming Wedding

It has been a while since I have had the chance to update our blog as it has been very busy for the last few weeks. We are currently preparing for next Saturday June 14th as we will be capturing Naretha and Ravi's Engagement. They are to be married in August 2009 of which we are the official videographer for their wedding.

Sharisa & Don
Their special day is set for June 21, 2008. Sharisa and Don are a very charismatic couple. It was a pleasure working on their Love Story as well as getting to know them during the course of the couple's interviews. It is always nice to see two people so in love with each other. I am looking forward to capturing the essence of their day.

I took a few pictures of Sharisa and Don as we were shooting their Love Story at Frenchman's Bay in Pickering.
Sharisa & Don's Love Story video can be viewed on our main website in the Love Story section
